Turn Signals Inoperative, Connected Multifunction Switch
Complaint
The customer states the turn signals are inoperative.
Cause
Confirmed the customer’s complaint and found the turn signals were inoperative. Observed all turn signal lamps and indicator lights were inoperative. Observed the turn signal lamps were still inoperative when the hazard switch was used. Used the scan tool to command the turn signal lights on and found the lights were responsive. Used the scan tool to monitor live data, operated the multifunction switch controls and found the multifunction switch parameters did not change. Performed an inspection of the multifunction switch wiring harness and connectors, and found there was a loose connection at the multifunction switch wiring harness connector.
Correction
Connected the multifunction switch and verified the vehicle operated properly. The customer’s concern did not return.
