  • SureTrack Real Fix: EGR Fix Triumph!

    The customer reported that the check engine light was illuminated. A scan tool was utilized, revealing a code P0400-00, which indicated a problem with the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve “A” Flow. Live data monitoring during a test drive confirmed that the EGR valve was not functioning properly. A visual inspection showed no visible faults, and further checks indicated the wiring harness was intact. However, when the EGR valve was removed and tested with jumper wires, it failed to operate as expected. As a result, the faulty EGR valve was replaced, leading to successful resolution of the issue.

  • Sure Track Real Fix: PCV Valve Victory!

    The customer reported that the check engine light was on in their 2020 Skoda Kodiaq 1.5l petrol. A scan tool revealed a fault code indicating an intake air system leak. Using a smoke machine to test the intake system, no smoke was detected from the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve. However, further tests showed that the PCV valve was leaking as it failed to retain vacuum. To resolve the issue, the PCV valve was replaced, and after clearing the codes and conducting a road test, the vehicle operated properly with no illuminated check engine light or fault codes.

    A customer complaint regarding the engine light being on led to diagnosing code P1498 related to DPF overloading. Live data monitoring revealed that the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor signal was out of specification due to either a component fault or blockage. Inspections showed no issues with the sensor itself, but high soot levels indicated a blockage in the diesel particulate filter. A vacuum test confirmed this blockage, necessitating further action for resolution.
