Vehicle
2018 Chevrolet Equinox LT 1.5L

Title
Lack of power, misfires, replaced O2 sensor.

Complaint
Customer complains that vehicle lacks power.

Diagnostic Steps Performed/Parts Replaced
Vehicle has multiple random misfires, no power when throttle is given. Long term fuel trim goes from 0 t0 -35 when symptoms occur. Codes P0132 and P0137 keep returning. Check engine light never comes on when codes set. Mileage is 85500. Replaced turbo inlet pipe from air filter box after smoke testing intake system and found leak at PCV connection. Performed hard reset by disconnecting battery and touching terminals together. Trying to figure out what diagnostic I’m missing

Best Answer from Community Member Halsauto
Sounds like it’s dumping fuel. Did you look at the O2 sensors are they switching normally? Can you pull a plug to see if they are fuel soaked? Any black smoke coming out the exhaust?

Cause
Checked the O2 sensors as recommended by Halsauto and found the upstream sensor was not working properly.

Correction
Replaced upstream O2 sensor, cleared codes and test drove vehicle. Codes did not return and vehicle operated properly.
