    SureTrack Community Real Fix: Accelerator Insignia Enigma

    This 2018 Opel Vauxhall Insignia presented a mysterious fault code corresponding to the accelerator pedal position sensor voltage. Monitoring live data presented from the scan tool, allowed the technician to see that the signal parameter was intermittently dropping out.     SureTrack Community Real Fix: Vivaro EGR Recirculating Carbon

    Initially the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve (EGR) on this 2019 Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro indicated a parameter mismatch on the scan tool between the actual and desired valve position, yet no signs of damage was apparent on the connector and terminals. After further diagnosis, the EGR measured proper specifications but it wasn’t until the “hood was opened” to reveal the real culprit of carbon clogging the valve.

    SureTrack Community Real Fix: Boxer NOx-Out

    The real fix on this 2019 Peugeot Boxer’s NOx sensor began diagnostic testing with a scan tool to identify proper specifications for the signal compared to the actual signal omitting from the NOx. With the signal parameter above specifications but with present voltage, no damage or short, the community came to the conclusion that the sensor itself was faulty and was able to quickly return the vehicle to safe operating condition after the replacement.

    SureTrack Community Real Fix: Volks EVAP Control Valve

    A check engine light illuminated on this 2020 Volkswagen Golf 1.5L Petrol, causing the owner to bring their vehicle in for repair. An error code for the EVAP System was identified using a scan tool. Live data monitoring showed the EVAP canister control valve parameter was out of specification. Commanding the valve on with the scan tool revealed it was inoperative. A visual inspection found no visible faults.     A warning light illuminated on this 2015 Nissan Qashqai, 1.5L Diesel, causing the owner to bring their vehicle in for repair. Using a scan tool to monitor live data and a multi-meter tool to measure the resistance causing a sensor diagnostic trouble code, the technician was able to quickly identify the root cause and get down to the fix.
