Back to full boost was speedy in the case using the actuator test on the Solus Legend. Being able to operate the turbocharger wastegate with the actuator test allows you to visually if the wastegate is moving while the multi meter confirms that the signals from the ECU are being sent, enabling me to pinpoint the cause.

Complaint
The customer states the check engine light is on.
Cause
Connected a scan tool and found code P334A – Charge Pressure Control Actuator Electrical Malfunction. Carried out a visual check of the turbocharger wastegate actuator, but no faults were found. Connected a scan tool and using special functions, operated the turbocharger wastegate actuator while visually monitoring it but observed no movement. Key on, engine off used a multi-meter to check for power and ground at the turbocharger wastegate actuator. Found that power and ground was present. These tests verified that the turbocharger wastegate actuator was faulty.
Correction
Replaced the turbocharger wastegate actuator, cleared codes, performed a road test and verified the vehicle operated properly. The check engine light did not illuminate and no fault codes returned.
