With all the winter weather it’s important to have your wipers work. SureTrack community member Jeffytune had a Jeep Liberty in the shop with non-working wipers and a B2304 code. Changing the wiper motor did not resolve the issue. They posed the question to the community, and with the help of fellow community member Skip and others, they were able to resolve the issue.

Complaint
Customer states the windshield wipers do not work.
Diagnostic Steps Performed/Parts Replaced
We tried the wipers, they do not move in any position of the switch. we connected the scan tool and found code B2304 (Park switch stuck high). We checked the fuses and ran the test, it said to replace the wiper motor. We replaced the wiper motor with a new FROM THE DEALER motor. It does not run still and set a new code B2305 (Park circuit low). We did the test for this new code, it too said replace the wiper motor.
The part we bought from the dealer was in a box that had been opened and re-taped mutable times. But the test never asks thing like does the motor run?
I know that the TIPM (totally integrated power module) runs the relays in the power module to put power to the motor, but does the TIPM not try to turn them on if these codes are present?
BTW, the relays are part of the module and you just can’t pull them out and test, the fuse is good, not power to the motor, but clearing the code, it come back immediately.

The code calls for a short to ground in the Park circuit between the wiper motor and the TIPM. If you are sure that the wire is not shorted to ground, I would suspect the TIPM itself. They are a common failure on Chrysler products.
Cause
Well It was a failed TIPM. I also tested the amp draw on the motor, it was 4 amps higher then the new one. I replaced both of them and now it works normally.
Correction
Replaced TIPM and wiper motor, issue resolved.
