A 2009 Toyota Prius arrived with a hard brake pedal, constant ABS pump operation, and multiple brake system codes. Community insight and a Toyota TSB pointed to a faulty ABS hydraulic control unit. Replacing the actuator and performing proper initialization and bleeding restored normal braking performance without module programming.
